    Open Enrollment is October 11-27, 2017

    Open Enrollment is your opportunity to learn about the benefits Mohawk offers; to add or drop dependents from your coverage; and make changes to health, dental and vision coverage, life insurance, and voluntary benefits. It’s also the time to set aside pre-tax money for your eligible medical expenses with the health savings account or healthcare flexible spending account if not enrolled in the Mohawk medical plan.

    If you’re not making any changes, you do not have to re-enroll, except for flexible spending accounts.

  • What's New for 2018

    New Life Insurance Partner - One America

    With our new life insurance partner, One America, employees will have the one-time opportunity to enroll or increase supplemental life coverage up to the Guarantee Issue amounts with no medical questions!

    Guarantee Issue amounts: Hourly employees - $100,000 Sales, salaried and nonexempt admin clerical employees - $300,000

    If you don't enroll when you are first eligible or during the 2018 Open Enrollment Period (Oct. 11-27, 2017), Evidence of Insurability/Statement of Health is required. Any increases to coverage amounts, will also require Evidence of Insurability/Statement of Health

    Medical Neighborhood

    Beginning Jan. 1, 2018, Employers’ Health Network takes on the role of our network administrator, replacing Cigna. WebTPA becomes our claims processor and customer service contact. The Neighborhood services have expanded to include all specialties, not just the 13. We now have a simplified provider network—providers are either in-network and out-of-network.

    New Vendor - TaxSaver

    TaxSaver, our COBRA vendor, takes over the administration of our Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending accounts and Commuter Benefits.

    Flu Shots Available at Mohawk Locations

    Flu season is just around the corner and Mohawk will again be providing flu shots at many of our locations from mid-September through mid-October. The Center’s for Disease Control (CDC) recommends getting a flu vaccine as it is the first and best way to protect yourself and your family from the flu. Flu vaccination can reduce flu illnesses, doctors’ visits, and missed work and school due to flu, as well as prevent flu-related hospitalizations.

    For the best protection, it’s recommended to get your vaccine by the end of October if possible. Flu vaccines will be made available at various Mohawk locations on specific dates and times. If you want to know more about what viruses the 2017-2018 flu vaccines will protect against and other flu-related information, please visit the CDC’s website below.

  • New Hires Biometrics

    New Hires Biometrics

    As a new hire, if you enroll in the Company medical plan, you and your covered spouse/domestic partner must complete a biometric screening within 60 days of your benefit effective date. Employees hired October 1 or later will not be required to complete a biometric screening until 2018.

    Employees and covered spouse/domestic partners who do not complete a biometrics screening will receive a surcharge of an additional $28.85 per week or $125 per month on top of the medical premium. Click below for details.

    Qualifying Life Event (QLE) Enrollment

    If you have had a qualifying life event (QLE) (example: birth, marriage, divorce) and need to enroll or make a change to your benefits, you may do so through Employee Central. Click on Change Benefits or View Current Elections tile. You may also call the Benefits Service Center (BSC) at 1-866-481-4922.

    BSC hours: Mon-Thu 8 am - 6 pm ET and Fri 8 am - 5 pm ET
